Eddie Ieong graduated from the University of South Australia and was granted the Master of Architecture in 2012. By 2011, he participated in the Pitt Water Student Summer School organized by AIA Gold medal winner Australian architects Richard Leplastrier, Peter Stutchbury and Lindsay Johnston. By 2012, Ieong participated in the Glenn Murcutt Master Class organized by the Pritzker Prize winning architect Glenn Murcutt himself.
Returning to Macau, Ieong worked in an international architecture firm Aedas and a local architecture firm JWCC Architecture for three and a half year, focusing on design and project management, ranged from residential to hotel projects. In 2017, he has co-founded Eddie Ieong Architects Limited, focusing on architecture and interior design, striving to apply the Australian sustainable architecture methodology to the Macau context.
